Since package is the first moment truth for consumers, its design becomes important more and more.This article describes a complete package design process for a multi-nation brand cosmetic product which launched to market successfully. In the description, the shape design, material choosing, manufacture process selection and structure design were analyzed based on the essential request and the success criteria of the cosmetic product package. At the same time, design method, design theory and calculation are explained for each step.First, make clear the essential request for the package performance in quantitative but not in qualitative.Secondly, from the result and information of consumer test, shape design are decided and draft drawing is worked out.Thirdly, based on the result of material preliminary design and manufacture process design, final material is fixed.Then form the angel of manufacturing process, we designed plastic container structure.Lastly, critical performance of the cosmetic package is verified and final conclusion is gotten.
