The investigation of the asphalt pavement disease in the main roads in Beijing shows that the cracks account for more than 80% of the road surface diseases and become the main disease.The anti-rutting and anti-cracking performance of asphalt pavement is a contradiction,which is a trade-off.In the past road design,due to the special emphasis on the rutting resistance of the road surface,although the rutting problem has been alleviated,the cracking problem has become a major contradiction because of the neglect of the balance of different road performance in the material and pavement structure design.In view of this,this paper relies on the Beijing East Third Ring Road overhaul project,investigates and analyzes the causes of pavement diseases,and proposes a performance-balanced asphalt mixture design method and typical pavement structure.Firstly,the disease of East Third Ring Road asphalt pavement in Beijing was investigated,the proportion of various diseases was determined,and the causes of pavement diseases were analyzed.The order relationship weighting coefficient was determined by using the order relationship analysis method,and the asphalt mixture design method based on performance balance is proposed.Secondly,the comparison of the materials of the upper and middle layers was carried out by the asphalt mixture evaluation method based on the road demand weight.The results show that the comprehensive performance of the upper layer of rubber & SBS modified asphalt SMA-16 mixture and the middle layer of rubber & SBS modified asphalt AC-20 mixture is the best.Thirdly,the anti-ultraviolet aging performance of rubber & SBS modified asphalt and its mixture with better comprehensive performance was studied through the property attenuation rule of asphalt' s penetration,softening point,ductility and surface status and the mixture' s pavement performance.Meanwhile,SBS modified asphalt and its mixture were used as the contrast group.The results show that the rubber & SBS modified asphalt and its mixture are obviously affected by ultraviolet radiation,but its anti-ultraviolet performance is better than the SBS modified asphalt mixture,it can play a certain role in resisting ultraviolet aging.Finally,the performance-balanced structural combination design was carried out.By changing the type and thickness of the surface layer,BISAR software was used to calculate the bending stress of the asphalt surface layer and the maximum shear stress of the surface layer to optimize the structural design of anti-rutting and anti-cracking.
