In this paper, a method of Flexible Iterative Learning Control is applied into the air conditioning system. Take the repetition and periodicity of air conditioning system for consideration, make use of the historical data, take the feed-forward method ILC and use the Matlab for simulation. The use of ILC only need the in-put and out-put in the system, so the ILC can be used in unmodeled systems. The air conditioning system is repetitive and periodic with finite operation intervals, but there are some unmodeled factors, such as dynamic climate and other disturbances in the air conditioning system, so some flexible factors are made in the ILC,besides, PID control is made use of as a supplement of the F-ILC. It turns out that the control system is highly proved by the new concept of mixed control method.The AC system is the biggest energy consumption in the building. F-ILC control for air conditioning system can greatly increase energy efficiency. ILC can make repetitive plant fully run after with a standard trajectory. It is also applicable for air conditioning system. The temperature control based on F-ILC of the VAV AC system is presented in this paper.Results of digital simulation show the superiority of air conditioning system control based on F-ILC. It is shown that compared with classical control, the control based on F-ILC can gain smaller overshoot and shorter stabilization time.. It can greatly increase energy efficiency.The Matlab figure includes the initial temperature curves and the final controlled track curves of the air conditioning system. The difference of each pair curves shows the energy consumption and how energy saved in this system. The final simulation figure indicates the control process and simulation results of Flexible Iterative Learning Control and the feedback PID control. At last, the control system indicated that the method reduced the energy of the air conditioning system satisfactorily. The final result is energy saving in the practice.
