With the development of science about rocket sled, it becomes more stricter to the speed of rocket sled.Howerver,it's support structure will lead to it serious vibration when rocket sled moves with high speed .The one reason is unstable aerodynamic of it. Consequently, it must research aerodynamic of rocket sled just for the importance of that.This text analyzes and estimates the drag coefficient of the rocket sled with aerodynamical theory and the single entity drag coefficient of wind tunnel experimentation. Then making computational simulation to the the external flow fields of rocket sled with the tools which are Fluent and Gambit.Subsequently.geting the drag coefficient difference between a rocket fling high altitude and moveing ground .Also receiving the advantages and disadvantages of four different turbulent models used in numerical simulation ,at the same time, it gets a reasonable curve of one-track rocket sled drag coeffcient.At last ,discussing the effect of geometric model and density of grid on calculational precision ,and obtaining the external flow fields with software and a reasonable curve of two-track rocket sled drag coffcient.The study shows that it is helpful to the design of rocket sled with the method of computational aerodynamical simulation.
