Besides laboratory and full size flight test, rocket sled track test is a kind of ground test with good effect. In view of the internal present and future of the track test, high speed water-brake device for double-track rocket sled is the problem for solving with an urgent need.Starting with the theory of water-brake, calculating model is built for brake force of horizontal momentum transform water brake device and some important factors of brake force with momentum equation and project experience are analyzed. Consulting the characteristic of American and Russian device, design method of high speed water-brake device is put forward. In view of the structure of the sole high precision device in land, whole suit of design method with main parameters of double-track rocket sled device is formed, and 3D model is built up with SolidWorks2007. Followed, the derivation works about calculation equations of hydraulic pressure on siphon and lift bevel wainscot are done. Finally, after finite element model of two extreme situations of water-brake device calculation is finished, corresponding measures about problems in calculation result are given. The research achievement establishes foundation for practical using of double-track rocket sled device.
