As one of the most important components in the steel-concrete composite structure ,shear connectors prevent the longitudinal slip and vertical separation between steel and concrete, make the steel and the concrete component whose elastic modulus are of great difference into one integral structure and work together. The thesis briefly introduces the research progress of the shear connectors, the function and mechanics characteristics of shear connectors. Push-test is also introduced in this thesis. The mechanics characteristics of the shear connectors have been analyzed through nonlinear finite element analysis.Model test is adopted to investigate the mechanical characteristics of 33 specimens in 11 sub-types and three types including stud and prefobond rib shear connectors. Combining the model test with finite element method, the main work has been done as follows:1. The shear connectors' mechanical behavior of load transfer has been analyzed;2. The failure mechanism and the load-slippage rule of each kind of shear connector have been analyzed;3. Each type of shear connector's mechanical property on dead-load has been analyzed;4. The influencing factors of each kind of shear connectors' mechanical property have been analyzed;5. Contrast the results of typical push-out tests and the PBL bearing capacity formulas put forward by specialists.
