Research Of Statistical Process Control In The Production Of Asphalt Mixture

The quality of asphalt mixture is one of the key factors which affect pavement construction quality. Hence it is important to strengthen the management level and to make use of statistical process control in asphalt mixture production in order to improve the quality of asphalt mixture. On the basis of plenty of tests and data, this paper is an attempt to bring the statistical process control theory into the road industry. The paper is mainly divided into three parts as followed:At first, theory, classification and implementation of statistical process control are analyzed in detail.The key variables are determined in the production process of asphalt mixture.Based on analysis of the key indicators in statistical process and its own characteristics of the asphalt mixtures production, the standards and methods in the production process are determined to provide a valuable reference.Secondly,on the basis of the existing data, specific processes and methods are researched using statistical process control on gradation of heat-hopper in mixing station and finished asphalt mixture and asphalt content. Test results show, the method of control chart and process capability index can accurately and effectively reflect the production process fluctuations and timely detect the abnormal production, thereby enhancing the asphalt mixture of the quality in the production, practical application made good use of effects.Finally, the software is designed and developed. For the project and actual application,in order to simplify the data management process and to reduce the workload, statistical process control management software is designed using Excel and VBA.The research strives to improve the management level of asphalt mixture in production process, to enhance product quality of asphalt mixture, thus to enhance construction quality of asphalt concrete pavement in our country.
