The frame-supported short-leg shear wall structure is a combination of short-leg shear wall and frame-supported shear wall. According to the specialty of short-leg shear wall, the frame-supported short-leg shear wall is distinctly different with traditional frame-supported shear wall in structural style and load-bearing characteristic. Although it has already been used in engineering, most of its applications come from the engineering case study of the design organizations, and the theoretical research of such structure needs to be perfected. In the clauses of the current Chinese design codes"seismic design codes of constructions"(GB50011-2001), the frame-supported short-leg shear wall structure is brought into the category of proportional frame-supported seismic wall structure, but few descriptions about it are illuminated.In order to study the bearing performance deeply and provide reference to engineering design, the universal finite element analysis and design software SAP2000 was used to carry through spatial finite element static analysis and seismic acceleration response spectrum analysis of the frame-supported short-leg shear wall structure with core box.Firstly, by adjusting main parameters, the effect of the parameter change on the bearing performance of the structural member under vertical load and horizontal seismic action was studied. Secondly, elastic seismic response analysis of the frame-supported short-leg shear wall structure with core box was carried out to study the effect of some parameters on such structural seismic performance, including the height of the transfer story, the stiffness of the transfer story, the lateral stiffness ratio of the transfer story and its upper story, the stiffness of the outside box on the upside of the transfer story. The impact rule of the respective main impact factor on the seismic performance was obtained. Finally, the load form of such structure was improved. The single transfer crossbeam was decomposed into two crossbeams with relative small sectional dimension. These two crossbeams were respectively located at the local story and the lower story to form the structure style with two-layer transfer beam. The bearing performance of such structure under vertical load and horizontal seismic action was studied.
