Frame-supported shear wall is a kind of building which can meet the requirements of many kinds of functions in the future, it will certainly appear more and more among the various cities. However, as a result of stiffness mutations of the conversion layer in the frame supported shear wall, it has an adverse affect on the seismic performance of the structure. So it is of practical significance to analyze the influence of the conversion layer on the seismic performance of the frame supported shear wall.In this paper, firstly, three different conversion layer position and three different equivalent lateral stiffness ratio of the beam frame supported shear wall is analyzed, which is in order to study the influence on its earthquake resistance. Then the beam transfer frame-shear wall and the thick plate changeover frame supported shear wall are compared, from which can obtain the following conclusions:As the conversion layer position elevated, the cycle ratio of frame supported shear wall structure is increased and the reversing effect of the structure is highlighting, which are all unfavorable to the seismic performance of the structure. Frame supported shear wall should be supported by low conversion. When using the high conversion, it can set podium in the lower conversion layer or use the steel reinforced concrete as the lateral force-resisting member. The greater equivalent lateral stiffness ratio, the better the seismic performance of the structure. The position of the maximum inter story displacement angle of the frame shear wall has nothing to do with the equivalent lateral stiffness, which is only related to the position of the conversion layer, and it is decreased with the increase of the position of the transition layer. With the higher conversion layer position and the larger equivalent lateral stiffness ratio, the mutation of the transfer floor drift angle becomes greater.Lateral deformation characteristic curve of the frame supported shear wall of the lower transfer story is the shear distortion, which is the bending deformation in the upper part of the transfer story. The stress distribution of the thick plate frame supported shear wall at the conversion layer is more concentrated than that of the shear wall in the frame shear wall. Therefore, in practical engineering, the beam frame supported shear wall is proposed.
