The reducer which is used in rocket movable launch pad required to have small volume and large moment of torque in limited space. Common gear transmission satisfied actual demand hardly, and that movable teeth drive can achieve the design request of large transmission ratio and large moment of torque in relatively small space. In comparison with involute and cycloidal planetary gear drives with small teeth difference, the structure of output mechanism for the movable teeth drive is simple due to leaving out W output mechanism. And the bears'working life is longer.According to the structure characteristic of the swing movable teeth drive, the center roller teeth profile equation and stress calculated formula of movable teeth of the swing movable teeth drive are deduced. Put forward design request of the small volume and large moment of torque reducer using in rocket movable launch pad.The paper research and analyze the form of two steps swing movable teeth drive and deduce every kind of the calculation formula of transmission ratio. The transmission scheme of two steps movable teeth drive of high-power and large angular velocity ratio is put forward. It is decided to use series combined mechanism.On the basis of the study of swing movable teeth drive above, a two steps swing movable teeth reducer is designed according to the design request of reducer using in rocket movable launch pad. The structural design of transmission mechanism is investigated, and the manual mechanism is designed. The general picture of the reducer is drawn.Strength checkout is carried out to the key parts of the reducer. The development tools UG/Open Menu Script and UG/GRIP have been combined to realize the 3D parameterized modeling of the center roller. It is grounded that the program is used in the whole of model for future.
