A Fault Monitoring System Of Telecontrol Channel Based On Wireless Mobile Communication Technology

The power telecontrol is the core technology of power dispatching automation. The telecontrol system's operating reliability will influence on the safety of whole system, even leads to outage. Telecontrol system is consisted of two parts, the telecontrol equipments and the channel in the field. The maintenance of telecontrol equipments is finished by telecontrol workers and the channel is in charged by communication workers. When there's fault in the system, often the fault point can't be determined. This will prolongs the fault cleaning time. At present, most of telecontrol monitoring system are of simple function, poor reliability in data transmission. The Parameters used to estimate communication quality are only level and frequency, the estimation quality is low. In this paper, besides level and frequency, the noise is adapted to estamate the communication quality. The Mobile communication technology is a widely used mature technology. Using mobile communication network can meet need of communication system.Firstly, this paper introduces present situation and need of monitoring system. Secondly, the paper introduces a few kinds of common communication modes, proposes the thought and plan of telecontrol monitoring system based on wireless mobile communication. The GSM short message technology is used as the communication mode. The hardware core is PIC16F877 microchip, each module realizes different functions, data gathering and handling is finished by C programs in software. The telecontrol signal is handled in order to be transmitted in channel and the bit error rate is greatly decreased. This equipments can real-time monitor the remote terminal unit and telecontrol channel, distinguish the fault sites and fault categories, display fault information in branch station, send alarm message to master station.The hardware and software in the design is debugged successfully. Improving existing monitoring equipment decreased production cost, according to energy saving thought. This product can be used in other telecontrol monitoring system. It has stronger practical meaning and wide application prospects.
