With the development of our country's foundation construction, the study and control design of engineering slope are becoming a hot topic. Recently, anti-sliding pile has been regarded widely as a dominating means of administering landslide geologic disaster, and it has developed rapidly in homeland and abroad with great adaptability and sliding strength. Besides, it is possible to construct anti-sliding piles simultaneously and reduce the time limited for a project.Based on the theory of the slope's stability and the design of the anti-slide pile, according to technical code for building slope engineering(GB50330-2002), code for design on retaining engineering structures of railway subgrade and code for design of concrete structures (GB 50010-2002). Visual basic 6.0 was adapted to develop the software system of slope stability analysis and anti-slide pile design. It included two children systems: the children system of stability analyses and the children system of anti-slide pile design. There were two parts in the program of the slope stability analysis as the following: the search of the critical sliding surface using genetic algorithms and the calculation of the safety modulus of the slope. There were two parts in the program of anti-sliding pile as the following: the calculation of slide thrust using the transfer coefficient method, and the internal force calculation of anti-sliding pile using the finite difference method.The genetic algorithm(GA) is a global and probabilistic intelligent searching method widely used in many fields which simulates Darwin's evolutionism with the concepts of selection, crossover and mutation. The genetic algorithm already obtained the widespread application in many domains. In this paper, Genetic Algorithm is used to search the most dangerous sliding surface, Fellenius method is used to compute stability of slope safety coefficient, and the corresponding program has been established. Compares with the traditional optimized algorithm, GA could overcome the shortcomeings of classical searching methods which is adopted to fall into the local minimum value, and improve the operational precision and speed.The software was compiled by the Visual Basic 6.0. With the help of interactive technology, it provided surroundings for data's putting in easily and meted with the common requirement of the project. This program was developed in structurized code, its construction is very clear, has the good maintenance and the extendibility.In the stability of slope analysis module, the user could choose whether to fix slippery body access. The transfer coefficient method was used to calculate the landslide thrust force. You can compute landslide thrust force automatically according to the circular arc sliding face; you can also compute landslide thrust force by inputting broken line sliding face coordinate. The user could also carry on computation according to the circular sliding face or the broken line sliding face. After discovering the most dangerous center of circle, the procedure could automatically compute various vertical and horizontal relationships landslide thrust force, provide the reference for the next step design anti-slide pile. The procedure could calculate the analysis random soil layer shape the natural side slope and the side slope excavated by people.About anti-slide pile endogen force computation, when elastic theory was applied to design a slide-resistant pile, lots of coefficients were needed to be funded. In doing so, much time and labor were needed and spent. However, the finite difference method was introduced to compute slide-resistant pile. Not only time and labor were saved but also the results were accurate. The anti-slide pile bars arrangement computation module and the bar arrangement AutoCAD drawing module further strengthened software's usability.All the input and output data could be preserved automatically, user could inquiry, revision, use them conveniently. The analysis result has the special contact surface to display, and may be saved as the RTF form account book in addition. The account book includes the side slope geometrical shape, the soil layer parameter, the load, in the most disadvantageous sliding face information, the landslide thrust force, the anti-slide pile to try hard, reinforcing bars information and so on computed result, reinforcing bars chart.The system could finish the main jobs arranging from the slope's stability, the design of the anti-slide pile, distributing steel, displaying and output the calculating data, plotting the drawing automatically. It could meet with the basic needs of a civil engineer. And the software which conformed to the normal regulations of the stability analysis and the anti-slide pile design conventional design mentality has a widespread usability.
