The pumping unit is the most important equipment that uses up very large electricity in petroleum exploitation, by driving with electromotor, so demands higher power quality. In this paper, the theory on electric power parameter detection is researched in great depth. On the basis of the theory, the electric power parameter meter is researched.The theory and realization of every index of electric power parameter measurement are researched. The theory of harmonic analysis based on FFT is introduced in detail. The problems like frequency spectrum leaks in application are analyzed and the solving ways put forward and the electromotor performance and the negative power are discussed in this paper.An electric power parameter meter is researched on the basis of the theories. In the aspect of hardware, this paper uses the digital signal processor (DSP) with TMS320VC5416 as the centre processor to speed up the algorithm, and introduces the CPLD to simplify the periphery logic circuit design. To decrease the error brought by non-synchronous sampling, this paper presents a way based on frequency pursuit to realize synchronous sampling by hardware. To avoid the phrase error engendered by the multi-channel non-simultaneous sampling, this paper uses a 16-bit, 6-channel simultaneous sampling analog-to-digital converters. In the aspect of software, this paper designs the system software on modularization principle. The interrupt distribution and the influences of interrupt to measure are introduced in detail.Some programs like interrupt are designed in CCS and program flow charts are presented.
