Since 1960s, organotin compounds, such as tributyltin and triphenyltin were widely used as effective components in antifouling paints to prevent fouling creature from adhereing to ship and ocean construct. Although this kind of paints has brought about great profit to the shipping, it brought severe environmental problem. TBT and TPT are one of the most toxic chemicals to the aquatic organisms, which are harmful to many organisms, included human, so TBT and TPT have been appeared on the black list in many countries, and their occurrence in aquatic environments were investigated on a large scale. At present, there is still no specific legislation controlling the use of TBT and TPT in China for lack of original data about organotins pollution, say nothing of long-term control, monitoring and research programs. Based on the three-dimensional advection-diffusion equation, and refering to the Method for Estimation of Air Pollution from Vehicular Emission in Urban Area, we calculated the quantity of the TBT pollution. Considering to the point of marine environment capacity, we researched the anti-fouling damage to marine ecology environment.Based on the theory and methods above, we caculated the quantity of the TBT pollution, including the dockyard and the ships which are in navigation, based on this, the TBT's enviromental cpacity of the sea was caculated in moming sea. Results show that the theory is correct and the method is suitable. At last, control measures of organotins pollution in water environments was suggested.
