Research On Spare Parts Of Port Machinery Inventory Strategy Based On The Distribution Of Failure

There should have been little relationship between failure rate theory of spare parts and the traditional inventory control theory.However,we can get more satisfactory inventory control theory of spare parts if they are combined. This paper does some research on this part and presents inventory strategy of port machineries' spare parts based on the failure rate theory of spare parts and the traditional inventory control theory.Port machinery and its parts will inevitably fail in the process of port producing.When the port machinery and its parts fail,we have to replace or repair them in order to the producing system goes on working normally.If the inventory of the port machineries' spare parts is too large,too much money will be taken and the using rate of the port machinery and its parts will be too low. If the inventory of the port machineries' spare parts is not enough,on the contrary,the producing stoping lost because of the port machineries'failure will increase.The research on the reasonable inventory of the port machineries' spare parts according to the distribution of their failure is valuable to the modern port producing.This paper presents the theory of the spare parts' failure rate firstly,such as the definition of the spare parts' failure rate, cache miss rate and readiness rate,the estimating and testing the modle of the spare parts' failure rate,the spare parts' life and its typical distribution.After that, the traditional inventory control theory is introduced,such as the requirement and the cost of the inventory,the basic model of the inventory control.This paper mainly does the research on how to combine the two theories so as to get the inventory strategy of spare parts and presents the inventory requirement model and the inventory control strategy of memorized spare parts and unmemorized spare parts.Finally,the model researched in this paper is tested by two cases,and the result is satisfactory,which prove that the inventory control theory of spare parts based on the distribution of failure which can used in and instruct the practice is scientific and reasonable.
