It is a new way to use Single Chip Micyocos(SCM) to control the stepping motor drivers in recent years. It is not only flexible, convenient, easy to implement and program, low cost, but also has simple structure, high reliability, strong anti-jamming capability to control the stepping motors by the SCM. It can be widely applied in the industrial field.Stepping motors control system is practical. Based on theoretics, this thesis study the characteristic and basic principle of the stepping motors, the development status and trends of the drivers, also introduce the principle and methods of the stepping motors subdividing drives. Combining the relevant parameters and the basic control of the stepping motors, this dissertation discusses the basic project to control the stepping motors.Based on the research above, according to the XC164CS which has a core of late-model 16-bit SCM, combining with the new type Intelligent Power Modules(IPM) module this thesis design a three-phase hybrid stepping motor driver. The control circuit is designed combining with the SCM and the driver circuit is designed combining with the drive module. The system is programmed by Keil c166 language. It consists of several modules that each of them will achieve its corresponding function. Based on three-phase voltage-pulse rectifier modulator, this dissertation describes space vector arithmetic to cause Pulse Width Modulation.Various equipment and resources of the chip are used to debug the hardware and software components. Relevant experimental and analytical results are got based on the hybrid stepping motor control system experiment.It is shown in the study that stepping motor drive system is so applied that it can simplify the course to design stepping motor drives clearly, raise stability and security of the drives, adapt different working environment, and control the movements of motors.
