As the rapid development of the power system automation technology and the protection devices requirements, the difficulty and complexity of development have increased. General platform of microcomputer protection is particularly useful to promote development rate and devices quality,and it is the developing trend of relay protection. Applying the new results of theory and practice of protection devices, the development scheme of microcomputer protection platform based on DSP and ARM is presented.According to the requirements of device development, the thesis discusses the development scheme from the architectures, hardwares, softwares and electro magnetic compatibility of protection platforms. At first,the thesis presents the whole frame of the platform ,and then ,the module division of platform, the cooperation between modules and the circuit design of each module are introduced. To some important function system,the design details of bottom layer are presented,and some new methods of development are presented.The platform adopts embedded Real-Time Operating System (uCLinux). With regard to the key and difficulty of development ,the thesis presents the methods of how to transplant uCLinux and bootloader to ARM board and how to realize TCP/IP communication by embedded Ethernet. In the chapter of the realization of protection software ,the basic algorithms and algorithms of operation criterions used in microcomputer protection are introduced ,and furthermore, the thesis puts forward the whole frame of software development and the flowchart of each software module. Due to operating in environment of serious electro magnetic interference(EMI),it is highly important to research operating reliability. The thesis discusses the principle of EMI ,and puts forward some measures about the designs of hardware and software to anti-interference.
