As the development of the electronic technology, the communication technology and the computer technology, relay protection has entered the microcomputer relay protection type era.Combining industrial product and educational institution teaching needs, research on Dual-CPU structure transmission line protective relaying is of great significance. Papers chooses high performance twin processor to constitutes a dual-CPU microcomputer protection device, SEED_DPS2812M and M2020-N20 embedded industrial control board is to be as the relay protection core board. SEED-DPS2812M plate internal resources is more better on the openness and transparency M2020-N20 embedded industrial control board is a piece of industrial boards with strong anti-interference ability and temperature range. Based on the function and requirement protection device, papers sets up five panel:The first board is panel of the device; The second board is device power board, it provides various voltage level power for the complete device; The third board is exchange quantity board to collect ac voltage and current quantity on power system; The fourth board is core processor board,it is the core unit for protection device, its uses is made to the relay protection function and management functions; The fifth board is switch quantity control board to realize protection tripping. On the above relay protection device design and development basis, papers designed the110kV transmission line protection plan, protection programs used current protection and distance protection.Protection unified adopts five zone protection mode, it can greatly improve reliability and sensitivity of the protection. Current protection adopts high sensitivity differ current as the overcurrent protecting for phase faults and zero sequence current protection as the overcurrent protecting for phase earth faults. Distance protection adopts alternate with impedance relay and multiphasic compensation grounding relays, Alternate with impedance relay is used for phase faults.and multiphasic compensation grounding relays is used for phase earth faults.Paper mainly designed the logic diagram and software structure of the protection program, and written in C language. On the one hand, its value can be used to power industry, on the other hand it also can be used in relay protection teaching experiments, board has tube feet interface used for opening experiments, protection device and hardware structure can help students to understand hardware principle and structure characteristics conveniently. Additional.it still can debug new principle of protection development and service to develop new protection software, also to test the actual performance and effect of the new principle, and put forward suggestions on the improvement.So it has many uses.
