The design of the blade is the most important thing during the design of the kneading mixer. There are several parameters: section view, pitch angle, physical dimension, supporting method & dimension. Talk to the mechanical problem, the key-point should be stiffness computation. In common, the smaller the clearance is, the mixing is more efficient, but there must be some deformation during the process. When the deformation is big enough, the collision will happened to cause the danger. Since the deformation is hard to measure through instruments, the Finite Element Analysis method should be introduced into the process of the analysis.According to the character and working condition of the blade, through the 3-D software, the numeral model was established. The model of Hollow Blade and Solid Blade was established, and the assembly was assembled through the method above.CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) method was introduced into the analysis of fluid, so the force and torque on the blade was easily got. Further more, it make the distribution of the torque computing available, the relationship between torque and clearance was discussed. FEA(Finite Element Analysis) method was also introduced into the analysis of the structure. The stress of fluid was put on the blade to get the it's deformation. When the deformation of blade was clear, some valuable suggestion to design of blade was given. All data is very useful for the further study of the blade's stiffness.
