Research On P-DVD Adjustment And Inspection System Based On Virtual Instrument

P-DVD, namely so-called portable DVD is new generation of recreation production to satisfy people's requirement of watching video and enjoy pleasure during frequent movement. P-DVD is made up of mainframe and TFT- type LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) .During the producing process, LCD control parameters adjustment and complete-set function inspection are the two uppermost steps to ensure production quality.The system this paper researches on includes two parts, adjustment part and inspection part. The adjustment part mainly adjust video signals, while the inspection part is complete set test, and it mainly tests the voltage, distortion, as well as composite video signals. The entire system is composed of hardware and software, the core of hardware is an industrial personal computer which controls the state of P-DVD through the serial port, the signal acquirement modular through PCI bus, signal channel switch modular and so on. The system software is based on LabVIEW and TestStand, it controls the production sate, acquirement modular, signal channel switch modular, user operation interface and data storage modular as well. Meanwhile, the software also provides test management functions such as test flow and parameters configuration to ensure the normal running and update of the system.The system includes many kinds of technologies such as digital signal process, virtual instruments, test and control, computer, etc. Using these technologies, the system has realized automatic and fast continuous adjustment and inspection of P-DVD production, also has passed user's evaluation. The system is going to be put into use very soon.
