A wharf of a port occupies an important position to a national economy and the social development. Some huge economical loss and bad effect will be made because to the interruption of the port. The damage of earthquakes at home and abroad show that pile-wharf structures are susceptible to damage.An urgent need to take effective measures to improve the seismic performance of the wharf. At present, usually at home and abroad adopted increaesing improve the earthquake resistance capacity of the vertical pile joins to improve the the seismic performance of the high -piles wharf. But with the improved the earthquake resistance capacity of the vertical pile at the same time, the stiffness of vertical pile joints were changed big and increased the level of seismic force,which was negative to the vertical pile joins.A new design method of the integral casting and fabricated vertical pile joint was proposed to improve the seismic behavior of the pile wharf in China. A seismic design ideas of the high -piles wharf which was based on "weakening the stiffness of vertical pile joints, improving the batter pile joint fighting against level earthquake force ability to improve the seismic performance of the high -piles wharf was proposed.A test scheme on seisime behavior of a new joint with verticial pile joint is proposed and the test is simulated under cyclic loading with finite element method in the paper. Finite element analysis is done in the vertical pile joint under static loading and repeated low cycle loading.Through finite element analysis, in order to explore anti-seismic performance and failure mechanism of the vertical pile joint to propose the anti-seismic design and anti-seismic structural measures and to provide reference for the experimental study of such joint.The major contents are summarized as follows:1. A new design method of the integral casting and fabricated vertical pile joint was proposed to improve the seismic behavior of the pile wharf.And experimental design model and anti-seismic test program was proposed.2. Through finite element analysis for simulated the seismic behavior test of the vertical pile joint, in order to explore anti-seismic performance and failure mechanism of the vertical pile joint.3. Finite element analysis is done in the vertical pile joint under static loading to explore the influence on the finite element analysis result of pile cap with the contact surface friction coefficient of the vertical pile join.4. Such vertical pile joints with different reinforcement ratio of pile cap , the strength of concrete for cap , reinforced concrete pile core and straight length of the pile mounted straight pile nodes were carried out under cyclic loading of the finite element analysis, comparative study the influences of seismic performance of the vertical pile joints for different design parameters of vertical pile joints5. Some farther improvements are put forward to the vertical pile joints according to currently existing analysis of the vertical pile joints in the papers and future reference for further research are provided.The results show that: the integral casting and fabricated vertical pile joint can improve the seismic behavior of the vertical pile joint seismic behavior and can meet the request to work with the batter piles and also can improve the seismic behavior of the the integral casting and fabricated high -piles wharf.
