Masonry structure is a kind of age-old architecture structure and is widely used in buildings. But the shearing strength, lengthening strength and bending strength of the masonry structure are very low owing to the brittleness of the material, so the aseismatic behavior of masonry building is lower, together with China is a more earthquake country, along with the augment of the habitation years and the heighten of the aseismatic criterion, the aseismatic strengthening problem is very important.The strengthening technique of Sprayed Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (Sprayed GFRP) is a kind of structure strengthening method arisen in several years. Because it has many advantages, such as light weight, high strength, convenient construction, excellent corrosion resistance, high fatigue strength and thin additive volume etc, which makes it regarded in concrete structure field by people recently though there is no report in the masonry structure field. It is especially adapting to immemorial buildings owing to thin additive volume, and some groping study of finite element analysis on masonry structure strengthened by SGFRP has been done in this paper, offerring the theoretical foundation for generalizing it and establishing technique regulation.This paper expatiates actuality and existing reinforced methods of masonry structure in China, especially the study and applications actuality of the Sprayed GFRP strengthening technique. Then using software ANSYS9.0, the Finite element analysis is done on seismic reinforcement of brick wall, and the feasibility of the method which is called whole-Stratified modal is verified. Through the Finite element analysis on seismic reinforcement of low strength brick wall by Sprayed GFRP, such characteristics as the failure shape, deformation, load bearing capacity and the mechanics performance of GFRP of the strengthened brick wall are generally analyzed, and the reinforcement of the different scheme is compared, and the factor on the increase of bearing capacity is discussed. The result indicates that the strengthening technique of SGFRP can reduce the weaken effect to masonry brick owing to windows and can improve the aseismatic capability of low strength masonry wall. The application foreground is amplitude in strengthening field of masonry structure.At last, this paper concludes the Finite element analysis generally and presents some distinctive advices for further researching on Sprayed GFRP reinforcement of masonry wall in the future.
