In hot summer and cold winter zone, it is very hot in summer and cold, wet in winter. Consider of residential building indoor environment, some measures must be adopted to keep a comfortable indoor environment."Design standard for energy efficiency of Residential Buildings in hot summer and cold winter zone"(JGJ134-2001)established energy efficiency goal achieve 50%, among it envelope undertake 25%. It is different with north area, building envelope must satisfy"heat preservation in summer and insulation in winter"at the same time.The paper analysis some common energy efficiency measures, for example, composite wall, inverted roof, energy efficiency window, shading technology and their characters.The paper adopt numerical analysis method to analysis unsteady heat transfer of external wall thermal insulation wall. It use finite element software and the third boundary condition, analysis the temperature field of the 2D composite insulation wall.The paper choose seven cities that located east, central and west region of hot summer and cold winter zone, because energy consumption software VisualDOE4.0,the paper analysis exterior wall, roof, window and shading influence to the energy consumption. The results show that: energy efficiency is significant in winter for exterior insulation wall, but it is little influence of energy efficiency ratio in summer. In some cities, it even increase air conditioning load in summer. In general, exterior wall thermal insulation can decrease building annual energy consumption, and improve (decrease) winter (summer) temperature of inside wall, can keep a relative comfortable environment; it will cost little and energy efficiency results is very significant only if improve thermal performance of the glass and use movable external shading; Roof thermal performance has great effect to the top level room's energy consumption.The paper use heating and cooling degree day method, take Chongqing city as an example, compute economic insulation thickness of different composite wall types, what's more, the paper simple analysis whether the cost of energy efficiency measures exceed 10 percent of the building cost.
