Study On The Visual Schedule Management For Immersed Tunnel Project

Implementing visualization by computer in management process is one major method in project management, and visualization of schedule management is mainly realized by dynamic interlinkage between schedule schedule and physical model. Schedule plan usually adopts Computer-assisted Analysis of Network Technology, while physical model is realized by Computer Aided Design (CAD) and 3D model.Immersed Tunnel Visual Plan Management System adopts Visual Basic program to carry out data transmit and function transfer between project plan management environment and AutoCAD. It also realizes dynamic linkage between project plan and 3D model of AutoCAD, to form 3D model which could be changed in real time so that to provide an overall simulation of the construction process status. During the process of the construction, data will be input into system and kept updating to monitor the status of progress, materials and expense by collecting and analyzing statistical information concurrently. The construction plan can be then adjusted accordingly and the adjustment will be fed back to the database, which will finally produce a 3D model in AutoCAD to establish an underwater visualized progress management environment. Then managers can make all-round decisions based on it.This project analyzed comprehensively and intensively the major functions of Immersed Tunnel Visual Schedule Management System, designed the system structure and data transmit structure, and realized the function of Immersed Tunnel Visual Schedule Management System. This system was implemented in the plan management process of Luntou- Biology Island Tunnel Project. According to the construction process, based on this plan management system, future process plan could be adjusted and updated on time, and real time 3D model of immersed tunnel project could be provided to the managers on the land. This system achieved an ideal effect when applied to real construction project, and many improvements were made in the application process.Immersed Tunnel Visual Schedule Management System not only includes traditional construction plan management, but also provides corresponding time and space so that to visualize the real time 3D model. It also can trace the overall project progress and record the whole construction process. Visual Schedule management system integrates scientific Schedule management with visualization of underwater project environment, thus provides a whole new idea for schedule management of immersed tunnel projects as well as underwater projects.
