At present, the automotive electronic technology develops in highly integrated, intelligent, wireless and informationized direction. However, there are only those on-vehicle interphones available, which are bulky, expensive and separated from other on-vehicle equipments.Based on a dual-core processor and the technology of wireless network, an on-vehicle system is presented, which is reliable, of high-performance and easily expanded. The platform, using TI's OMAP5912 (ARM9 + C55x), can provide strong digital processing and control capabilities. The application of Linux OS and U-Boot facilitates the software development and customization. Based on the ZigBee wireless network, this system can not only provide the wireless communication among cars, but also can control various sensors of the automobile easily.Firstly, this thesis briefly introduces the basic situation of the automotive electronic technology and the on-vehicle wireless intercom, as well as the research background and content of the subject. According to the functional requirements of the subject, the framework of the system is presented. And the choice of the processor, OS and transmission method are all introduced. Then the thesis expatiates on the hardware and software design, including the implementation of the schematic and PCB for power-clock circuit, memory circuit, audio codec circuit and pelripheral interface circuits, and the introduction of debugging and the EMC design. Software development mainly involves preparing the develop tools, the modifiability and transplant of Linux and U-Boot, and the completing of the application. Also, the thesis briefly introduces the ZigBee and G729 codec algorithm, as well as the optimization method for G729 codec. The last part is the conclusion of this subject and some suggestions for further development.
