The stable servo control technology is one of the important contents in the weapon systems. The stable servo control system for the vehicle borne radar antenna is studied in this paper.The total scheme for the stable servo control system of vehicle borne radar antenna is described. The difference between the directed drive system and the indirected drive system is analyzed. The principle of gyro stable servo is given. The control scheme combining the direct drive system using torque motor and gyro stabilization is selected. The stable servo control system is consisted with three loops, i.e., the current loop which is used for regulating motor current; the speed loop which is used for regulating motor speed; the position loop which is used for controlling the antenna position. The design and computation of the three loops is given. The hardware circuits of the stable servo control system are designed using DSP (TMS320LF2407A). The main circuit modules are described in detail. Several flows of the program modules are given, including the initialization for DSP system, the PI regulation in current loop and speed loop, the PID regulation in position loop. The effective of the stable servo control system is showed by the test results.
