DTG ( Dynamically Tuned Gyro) has been widely applied for the purposes of guidance, navigation and positioning as major technological innovations and breakthroughs of the third generation of inertial precision gyroscopes in the history of gyro development.Starting from theories this paper introduced the working principle of the DTG, established the drift model of the DTG, derived the expressions of the error parameters of the DTG based on the test method of the eight position in order to give the theoretical basis for the gyro test system design. Then it introduces the design of rebalance loop of the system - pulse rebalance loop system . A detail analysis of the working principles of the rebalance loop system is given, each part of the circuit is introduced, it includes: DTG, pre-amplifier, low-pass filter, correction, pulse-width-modulated pulse, and sawtooth wave generator. The design and principle of the phase-sensitive demodulation and the sawtooth wave generator are presented in detail.On the basis of the pulse rebalance loop system a new gyro test method using SOPC (System on Programmable Chip) is introduced, the design is realized with both software and hardware. SOPC Builder and SOPC development software QuartusII are studied in the paper, and SOPC development flow process is introduced. It also gives a description of characteristic of Nios soft core and Nios hardware & software design flow process with emphasis.Finally, the experimental data and theoretical analysis is given.
