This article based on the basic principles of cognitive psychology,carries on the detailed analysis to the modern green packaging design in the present condition. In the past, Designers only pay attention to the packaging visual effects and neglect of public perception, and separate the visual perception and reality of life experience. So,The author raised for promote the development of green packaging design should adopt of the measure of the both side,say to the consumer,optimize the green consumer awareness raising concept of green consumption,And raised design guidance to green consumption. According to consumer suggest that the green design plan guides as design. Green also can not be ignored in packaging design of green consumption and environmental awareness of the guiding role.In the cognitive basis of the green packaging design efforts to try to pursue new forms of language,concise form,material ecological,pleasant colors and text of rationalization. At the same time,the idea of green design through packaging design reflected by the carrier of a green propaganda purposes. Green design shows the distinctive style to consumers affect to the aesthetic standards,to achieve green design and the concept of green consumption reunification. In a sense speaking,through the use of commodity packaging to convey the same sense of green consumption in environmental public service announcements,it will allow the people of environmental protection concepts. This concept and awareness of the changes to the packaging of human development have been the ultimate care.
