Although online shopping is a kind of new born shopping model, its market share is increasing at a unbelievable high speed. Each commodity need their suitable packages, thus the need of packages is also increasing explosive at the same time, and inappropriate packages could cause some society and environment problems. The packages for online commodities are quite different from traditional shopping closet model. Based on Green Design Conception, the packages for online commodities from this paper is, on the one hand, aiming at the character of online shopping which come from analysis to packages for commodities, on the other hand, this paper mixed up Green Design Conception and Package Design, considering of which, the research for Package Design based on Green Design Conception for online commodities has academic significance and concrete value.This paper compared online model and traditional closet model, analyzed the situation of packages for online commodities and the problems it may have, it has confirmed the research’objective. This paper took research strategies:"over viewing quality analysis, finding truth in details, considering general through special, using details replace whole". And do not request every detail. Based on Green Designing Conception, which includes reducing, recycle, reuse, using degradable materials. The paper raised a point that package design for online commodities can be discussed based on Recycle Design, Modular Design, and Original Design.Online Shopping, compared with traditional closet model, is a green consume behavior. Package design for online commodities based on Green design is a extension for green consume and also a guarantee for high speed and healthy development of online shopping.
