With the development of the modern automobile, the electronic devices of automobile increase ceaselessly, which brings about the problem that it is necessary for many of control systems to exchange the signals in the real-time. The traditional wiring nearly can not satisfy developmental demand, so the automobile area network is brought abot .In the dissertation, to start with the studying of vehicle area network, mainly studied the development of the CAN-bus in advanced automobile technology. Now the CAN-bus is applied in international automobile industry widely. In order to design CAN-bus control system of automobile light, SAE J1939 protocol should also be researched .(J1939 protocol is the communications standard recommended by the American Automobile Engineering Association SAE for the medium and heavy vehicle). Only a couple of wires can transfer all the data exchanged, which can simplifies system wiring hardness, improves system reliability, effectively saves space and the system cost.Through learning and mastering above theoretical knowledge, solution is brought forward for the subject, concrete study work as follow:(1)Through analyzing to subject, according to the subject demand, the best solution is given, which is a light and meter control system of vehicle based on CAN bus.(2)By analyzing the kinds of transmission signals, considering the fixing position of the electronic equipments, then to build up the system structure model.(3)Based on the above system structure model, the CAN communication node circuit is designed. some additional interface circuits are designed for different types of data and tasks, and some necessary measures are taken to improve the system anti-interference.(4) CAN bus interface circuit's input and output parameters are analyzed in detail.(5) To program based on microcontroller, and to process some analog input signals, while learning SAE J1939 protocol, to program for CAN communication based on the protocol rules.(6)The system's hardware and software were debugged,it is validated by doing experiments on the vehicle's lights and meters system.(7) At last ,to summarize the whole system development, the possible improvements are brought forward, then in the face of subject future development, the feasible analysis is given.Some works about CAN bus data communication have been done in the dissertation, and some valuable referenced suggestion about auto electronics and CAN bus communication technology is put forward.
