| Along with the termination of 60t wagons as directed by Ministry Of Railways (MOR) in 2006, ZK6 has been upgraded into the main stay of new-generation high-speed heavy-haul freight wagon bogie.This paper made an introduction of ZK6 bogie for its development, major technical features, technical progress and subsequent application. ZK6 bogie is basically a 25t axle-load bottom frame-braced bogie.This paper also elaborate in detail on the dismantle inspection of this type of bogie in depot repair so as to grasp major issues in bogie service. In the meantime, customer visit has been initiated to solicit feedbacks on issues identified during depot repair and overhaul with a view to obtaining reference information for possible service life and repair cycle.This paper evaluates the feasibility of MOR's requirements of eliminating accessory repair and extending depot repair to 2 years (major components), overhaul to 12 years (major components) and complete wagon service life to 30 years taking into consideration of actual performance, fatigue life analysis and fatigue testing. Improvements and optimization of production techniques and structural features for side frame, bolster, cross linkage, brake beam, etc so as to meet MOR requirements. A correct appraisal for other metallic components for their service life has been done so as to determine their repair procedures. As for those rubber and non-metallic parts which are not conformity to specified requirements, a reasonable service life has been proposed so that life management and periodic replacement is undertaken. For the wheels that are not able to meet MOR requirements, an analysis has been made and proposal offered.According to the analysis,ZK6 bogie can meet the demand of extending depot repair,overhaul and complete wagon service life of 70t's railway wagons, enhance the total competition ability of railway. |
