In a certain historical conditions of economic backwardness in the past, living under very difficult circumstances, they can fit the local conditions, using the simple natural local materials to create a domicile which shelter from rain and wind, insult form hot and cold, avoidance from disease, defense the beast and adapt to the requirements of domestic production and daily life, that shows the labor wisdom of Li nationality people. The solid sculpt of residential house is simple, beautiful and practical, the boat-shape show a strong ethnic characteristics. In recent years, with the reform and opening up in Hainan,The new face of changes of Li nationality region are taking place, the old traditional-style and Chinese-style imitation of residential has been unable to meet the needs of the people today and continuing improving the condition of living has become the urgent desire of the people of Li nationality. No people want to see the result of house collapse. Moreover, many generations of villagers living in thatched houses, they want to live in spacious and clean the brick and houses, but the old house is also nostalgia, could not bear to leave. The boat-shipped houses are the traditional residential dwelling and are the crystal of the traditional wisdom of Li nationality people, so if all the demolition of boat-shaped houses, the architectural of Li nationality history will be a blank. So the protection of settlement landscape of Baiza village becomes a grim subject to the researchers.
