According to the development achievements and trend of Hydraulic Turbine Governor, the structure of microcomputer governor, the automatic adjustment principle of microcomputer regulator, the frequency measurement device, electricity/motor conversion device, machinery hydraulic system and the other key technology links was researched in this paper. And the following main results and conclusions are obtained in this paper:The general structure of Hydraulic Turbine Governor is made up of microcomputerregulator, electricity/machine conversion device and machinery hydraulic system. And theautomatic regulation law of microcomputer regulator is PID (Proportional IntegrationDifferential) control algorithm, which includes three regulation models, and that arefrequency- regulation, opening-regulation, and power-regulation. The function and theirmutual conversions are adjusted by microcomputer regulator. For about 50HZ low frequencysignal, the frequency measurement is usually realized by cycle test method. The corehardware of frequency measurement include single chip microcomputer (MCU), high speedcounting module and the internal high-speed counter of PLC. Now PLC is widely applied infrequency measurement. And electricity/machine conversion device, the important link ofmicrocomputer regulator and machinery hydraulic system linking, realizing the function ofconverting electric or digital signal to mechanical hydraulic signal and has a directly effects tospeed governor's performance, is the key device of the microcomputer governor. The keyelement of electricity/machine conversion device includes proportional servo valve, AC servomotor and digital valve of stepping motor. The electricity/machine conversion device which isconstituted by AC servo motor or stepping motor, is widely applied and has more theircharacteristics and advantages. The machinery hydraulic system of microcomputer regulatoris similar to the Machinery Hydraulic System with mechanical hydraulic speed governor andelectro-hydraulic governor. And their main differences are the obtaining way ofelectricity/machine conversion device, opening limiting mechanism and feedback signal.
