Since the 80's, a number of developed countries started investing in the research and development of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), which has established the progress direction of the 21st Century's transportation system. US Army has extensively utilized ITS in military transportation, and it has expanded the capability of the military transportation in great extend. Big gap exists between China and these developed countries in this aspect. The solution to increase our military transportation's capacity is to develop and make the most of ITS. This thesis introduces the basic concept of ITS and its military deployment. It analyzes the influence of ITS to military transportation.and this thesis emphasizes the importance, significance, and necessity of increasing the speed in developing military ITS, by examining the current status of military ITS. Then this thesis examines the function of ITS military, studies the structure of military ITS quick mobilize DSS, and provides its conceptual structure. This thesis also explains the technical use of the military ITS quick mobilize DSS, and gave a proposal accordingly. In the meantime, this thesis looks at the collection mechanism of all sorts of transportation information, and analyzes the ITS prompt rescue process and its relationship with the subsystems. Also the combination of MGIS technology and military transportation is discussed, and it provides a proposal of structuring geology information system for battlefield transportation equipment guarantee. In order to better setting forth the information structure of the military ITS, this thesis explains the effect and influence of information technology on military transportation.
