As the rapid development of the society, the energy crisis caused the globally attention gradually, the photovoltaic generation as one of the new energy is very popular due to its unique advantages. The maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique is one of the core techniques in the PV system, it is always being a hot research direction in this field. This paper focuses on the MPPT technique; several commonly used control methods are realized. Some improve methods are also proposed. Finally the fuzzy logic control (FLC) which is one of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) is brought into the control technique. Tested by the Matlab simulation, a better performance can be achieved.Through analyzing the solar cell's mathematic model, how its main parameter can change with the weather condition can be got. According to solar cell's mathematic model, a simulating model is built in the Matlab which can simulate the solar cell's characteristic. The design process of the experiment system is also introduced in the paper.The principle of commonly used MPPT technique is analyzed in this paper. The P&O and INC method's tracking ability are respectively tested under the start and fast-changing circumstances, the experiment results are also analyzed. The A/D accuracy of the DSP is very important to whether the INC method can be achieved. A improve method is proposed to reduce the probability of the program's misjudgment. Summarizing the problem in the process of experiment, improve methods are also proposed.The fuzzy logic control (FLC) is an active research and application field in the artificial intelligence (AI). Considering the non-linear characteristic of the solar cell, the FLC is brought into the MPPT technique, a fuzzy MPPT control scheme is proposed based on the P&O method, which can achieve a better performance tested by the simulation results.
