The pulsed power technology is an all-around foundational subject, it involves to electric material, plasma science, laser technology, microwave magnetism and optics, electronic circuit, engineerings electromagnetic field, high voltage technology, electrical engineerings measurement, semiconductor technology and so on. The pulsed power technology originated in 1930s, had significantly progressed and formed an acknowledged subject in 1960s. With the rapid development of science and technology,the application of pulsed power technology in both of national defence and environmental protection domain have been more and more abroad.The lightning is the disaster weather, it can lead to people's death and injury, induce the power accidents, bring on fire, wreck the power system installation and the communication facility, result in aeronautics & astronautics accident and the forest-fire. Multifarious micro-electronics productions have suffered from lightning-strike more and more seriously because they have rapidly developed and the application of controls chip in every domains abroad in recently,and the situation in the power system , the communication domain and the automatic control domain are more prominent.The discharge current must be accurately and reliably measured both of the pulsed power technology research and the lightning protection. The Rogowski coil has good ability of electric isolation to the conducting current leads;and it owns wide bandwidth that only depends on its type;and its output voltage is low cost;and it has compact structure and is very lightweight;and the coil is linear; Due to the coil'unique feathers,it becomes the first choice of the sensing devices applied to measure puled current.As the basis of the measurement sytem,the performance of Rogowski coil will affect the whole system directly. The Rogowski Coil's principle on puled current measurement is demonstrated, theory that the different working states of the Rogowski coil and the different integrator condition about the Rogowski coil have been analyzed ,and the method that the Rogowski coil is designed in different instance has been produced in the thesis.Taking the width pulsed current, the narrow pulsed current and the lighnting measurement as the example, projects that the Rogowski coil works in differential state which makes use of the active integrator and the passive integrator and self-integral state have been presented to measure pulsed current in the article. Theory of Rogowski coil is adopted as the research focus for the dissertation, the design about the Rogowski coil which is used to measure pulsed current that has different risetime is analysed. Several typical engineering measurement applications centered on the Rogowski coil are presented to measure width pulsed current and state currents of the high-speed and high-power Reversely Switched Dynistor switch (Narrow Puled Current) and lightning. The instruments of width pulsed current and narrow pulsed current have been validated by experimentation and have been applied to the practical circuit.
