Submarine Battery Charge System is a vital part of the electric propulsion system in submarine, which relates to the dynamic performance, hidden performance and navigation range. These performances are closely related to the battery charge control system. How to design a reliable and secure control system has been the hotspot of submarine battery charger research. The final target is to make it greatly possible to extend the use time of the battery and increase the range.This paper first give a systematic introduction about the advantages of the submarine electric propulsion system than traditional propulsion systems, on the basis of the literature at home and abroad, then introduced the advantages and disadvantages of the existing batteries and requirements for battery in submarine propulsion system, finally pointed out the reasons about the choice of silicon battery as a submarine battery.After a detailed analysis of the existing charging method, we chose grading constant current charging method as a submarine battery charging method. Then after giving analysis of several kinds of battery model, we have chosen experimental method for Silicon battery Modeling, and finally have made out the experimental model for the battery.The thesis has modeled most parts of the battery charger system by using system simulation software Matlab/Simulink, and make simulation waveform analysis against the typical working conditions.The thesis has completed hardware and software design for control the submarine battery charge control system based on a TMS320LF2407 DSP core controller. Hardware and software's structure and function are described in detail. Based on the above, a grading constant current charging controller for submarine battery is developed. Then the control system is tested on the simulation platform, and satisfactory result is drawn. The simulation results and experiment results verify validity and effectiveness of the control system.
