As the main part of automobiles, the clutch play a key role in their comprehensive properties. In the process of failure statistics of dry friction clutch of mini vehicles, abnormal wear account for the main reasons, thus the research of failure statistics of economical automobiles is imperative. Testing methods in this thesis have provided scientific research methods and data basis, and they have great practical significance for researching wear mechanism and fault reasons.Mainly discussing the introduction of fundamental content of clutch, the working principle of test equipment, the design scheme of clamp, testing methods and processing of testing data.Presenting a brief introduction of basic content of mini vehicle clutch, including the structure, the working principle of clutch and the principle of clutch friction material. The main parts of the clutch are described in detail, the working process and function transformation in the process, as well as the commonly used methods and friction and wear tests are introduced in this part. This lays a solid theoretical foundation on the following study of testing methods.Friction and wear properties equipment, including comprehensive bench test and pin on flat reciprocating wear device. The paper describes the structure of the test equipment and its working principle as well as the detail of various parts of the clamp designed corresponding with pin on flat reciprocating wear device.Focusing on the orthogonal test design methods, and data of this test had been analyzed to identify the optimal test scheme and the optimal level of orthogonal test. As the standard, the testing results are used to make detailed design for the development of friction test. According to this test design scheme, the corresponding test specification was worked out.Giving specific data analysis of the results of bench tests and friction and wear tests samples. The advantages and disadvantages of working conditions of clutch are found out through bench tests; single factor experiment and factors coupling experiment in one-sample test helps to achieve optimal clutch structure and working conditions. The correctness and scientificalness of testing methods in this thesis is verified by the final data of tests.
