With the rapid progresses of computer science and modern communication, the scale of power system keeps growing, that stimulates the development of power system application software. At present, there are many types of software on different application requirements, but since the independence of each power department uniform plans and standards are lacked when constructing systems. This issue causes that many existing systems mostly decentralized,isomerous and closed, and it is hard for the power data in different systems to interact and manage.The subject rooted in item of"Distributed Power Flow and Reactive Power Optimization System"by Electrical Engineering colleage of Chongqing University and Electrical Engineering department of Hongkong Polytechnic University. The research subject,"The Visual Power Heterogeneous Data Management Component (VPHDMC)", is its core content. VPHDMC is based on the research and analysis of various power application softwares, refers their principles and implementation technologies, especially based on the power heterogeneous data characteristics. The applied key technology includes heterogeneous data exchange and integration, XML main-memory database, visualization and JGRAPH open-source library, etc..The detailed work of this thesis is as follows:①Analyzed the problem to mass heterogeneous data management in kinds of power automation softwares, then put forward the design thinking;②Based on the general power device data and power topology characteristic, as well as the relational technology and application, analyzed the power data structure and design the Hierarchical architecture of VPHDMC;③Took researches to XML standard and program method, analysed the methods in heterogeneous data operation and main-memory database with XML, then explored the fusion technique between XML and power data organization. Designed and implemented the middleware to access power heterogeneous data, then put forward a kind of universal power data structure framework——power data extensible modeling framework based on XML. Simultaneously realized the high performance management by linked lists.④By the research on JGRAPH library and design pattern, realized the separation of definition and realization of object interface in the light of data independence. This work advances the reusability and expansibility, reduces the difficulty to preserve software systems. This part focuses on the storage, render performance and dynamic coloration problems in power topology graph.⑤Designed the power data visualization management component and applied it into the Chongqing power department Distributed Power Flow and Reactive Power Optimization System to validate the effectiveness and rationality of this component.
