Domestic accelerating urban construction resulted in the current unpresented disorder and chaos of the urban color landscape. Many big cities had begun to make a study of urban architecture color. But on a whole, our country is still in the initial study phase, and more focused on design principles and methods of qualitative discussion, the lack of quantitative research. In actual operaion of urban color landscape planning, the protection and recovery of historical buildings, and monomer building color design, it requires relatively accurate identification of the building color samples to reduce error and tag the color more scientific. Therefore, to study the color of the urban construction planning and design, it must be taken into account technical and quantitative methods impact.Presently the main color technical problems in the color study and design of urban construction is as follows: First, color temperature and sunlight on the spectral characteristics of urban construction observation of color and color in the atmosphere of decay, there are still some gaps in the theoretical study; Second, the City building color observation conditions and observation methods, lack of in-depth quantitative research, but also unable to effectively guide the actual design work; In addition, various types of color measurement instruments, building color cards and digital cameras and other observation tools in the urban construction in the use of color conditions and methods, but also subject to further analysis and discussion. In view of this, the quantitative method research's goal was to carry on a more precise color observation and the interpretation to the urban architecture color. The main study included color temperature and sunlight color analysis, color attenuation theoretical research, as well as urban construction methods. The specific following five parts:①Measurement and analysis of the optical (color) reflective performance of common construction materials;②Analysis of daylight color temperature and color rendering;③Attenuation color theory;④Architectural colour observation conditions and observation methods; ⑤Cities (Construction) of color measurement, tagging, and other technical means;⑥Discussion of quantitative color design methods of the exterior architecture. From the perspective of color technology this paper explores the city's architectural color quantitative methods, the results of the actual planning and design work to provide some scientific basis.
