Chinese traditional style architecture has always been the construction industry hot spots, traditional-style building in the city also played an important role.traditional style architectural landscape lighting design is the concentrated body of landscape lighting design and technology. But for a long time, the research about the traditional style architecture illuminating quality evaluation andtechnical ethods is very rare. With the development of chinese economy, the lighting quality as an important factor of art expression catches the attention of the architecture owners and signers. The paper makes a deep investigation of the landscape lighting of the chinese traditional style architecture.This paper is divided into four main parts:The first part introduces the background, the aim, the emphasis and the technical way of the research.The second part analyses the need of the traditional style architecture about landscape lighting, including the environmental art, the lighting function and features of the architecture. It also introduces the research of illuminating quality. It mainly summarizes and analyses relevant factors of the illuminating quality of the traditional style architecture.The third part is about the investigation and analysis of the present situation of the traditional style architectural landscape lighting. Also it summarizes the merit and shortcoming and some related data of the landscape lighting and comes up with the evaluating system.The fourth part deals with the design method of the Chinese traditional style architectural landscape lighting.
