Recently, with the fast development of electric power industry and modernization enterprises, electric power consumers and quantity of electricity are increasing. The power management work becomes so complex that the traditional power management pattern does not fit this kind of situation, because it cannot transfer and update information in time, and the inquisition & statistic of data are very complex and go awry easily. National Power Company demands every Power Bureau to realize the aim of reduction and optimization personnel, so the higher requirement is proposed for power supply system's automatization. Author designs a power management information system in order to satisfy this requirement and advance the quality and efficiency of the power management work. Finally, it serves well for the user.In view of domestic multitudinous Power Bureaus' characteristic, facing Power Bureau's backstage computer management system, through analyzing the function requirement and the structural design of system, the paper introduces the main function of power management information system and the design process, designs a plan and settlement of power management system software. The main function of this system includes: the management of power plan; the management of power quantity provided by Power Grid,the management of outsourcing power data,settlement management,system management and so on. Through the implementation of this system, it makes the power management system more strict, standard and scientific. The massive artificial statistics, computation, scheduling, writing data and analytic work will be instead only by typing originality data into computer with man-machine conversation mode, it advances working efficiency. Simultaneously it straightens out each kind of relations, avoids redundant data, forms an ideal information communication channel, promotes management work more modern.Through long-term operation, it has confirmed the design of this software system is correct and reasonable, and the operation is stable and reliable. It advances power departments' synthetic automation management level greatly.
