A nuclear power high-pressure vessel dome head is usually welded by several wear-resisting and high-strength ball clacks. After welding, welded seams have to be grinded in order for the high surface quality of the nuclear power high-pressure vessel dome head. And the working efficiency is low; the surface accuracy of the nuclear power high-pressure vessel dome head is unsatisfactory by the means of traditional man-made grinding which has hindered the development of the nuclear power industry.This paper takes the principle and engineering application of nuclear power high-pressure vessel dome heads grinded by NC grinding machine as background, analyze the relevant research in the field of the status quo at home and abroad, against the problems in grinding nuclear power high-pressure vessel dome heads, make full use of existing numerical control high efficient grinding technology research results and study the numerical control high efficient grinding technology in grinding nuclear power high-pressure vessel dome heads. Main research content is as follows:(1) According to the grinding and welding process of the nuclear power high-pressure vessel dome head, put forward to the NC high efficient grinding way, introduce the machine structure of the NC grinding machine, select the adequate numerical control system and design the gas circuit structure;(2) Build and deduce its mathematical model, and then reach the equation z = f(x) of the processing locus;(3) Analyze the feasibility of fitting the equation z = f(x) of the processing locus, calculate its node coordinates by Retractable step interpolation, lead in Parallel string bi-arc interpolation to solve the center of circle O1 , O 2, tangent point T and radius R1 , R 2 between nodes for parameters of numerical control program, and then get the numerical control program for grinding the nuclear power high-pressure vessel dome head;(4) Make the experiment by abrasive belt and grinding wheel in order to prove the effect of the numerical control program, contrast with the means of traditional man-made grinding and prove the superiority of the NC high efficient grinding.
