For availably matching into the action unit to the car, raise automotive motive, the fuel economy further, improve emissions and other functions, the demand carries on to the dynamic state characteristic which launches machine thorough research, but traditionally launch a machine steady state experiment the pedestal can't satisfy the above-mentioned request.The dynamic engine test bed (DETB) can simulate working mode of the engine fitted in a real vehicle running on real road. It can also simulate legal test cycles on chassis dynamometer. It provides a powerful experimental method for the research and development of powertrain. In this paper, the application of DETB in the study on powertrain matching having upon the performance of powertrain has been discussed.The AVL PUMA hardware mainly includes:Communicate the electric power measures the achievement machine, oil to consume an instrument, accelerator performance a machine, allied connect stalk, circularly water cold system, count to adopt system and engine oil temperature to regulate system etc..Kit dynamic state software for the ISAC"spoil quantity emulation and control" software.Road load simulation, and vehicle simulation including the clutch simulation and manual transmission simulation have been executed on the DETB. The test results about power and fuel consumption simulating a passenger car HFJ7161 on the DETB agree with the test results on road.The driver simulation on DETB can reflect the behavior of real drivers. On DETB, the impacts on the performance of powertrain of speed controlling ability and gear shifting thresholds, and behavior during starting from rest and gear shifting were simulated. The driver behavior has great impacts on the performance of powertrain.The system of characteristic parameters including level measures, oscillation measures and distribution measures was put forward and was used to compare two typical driving behavior.A new vehicle named HF10 on chassis dynamometer of Legal test cycles were simulated on DETD. Study on HF10 powertrain matching having on fuel consumption and emission performance of powertrain was executed.
