The function of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) has been enhanced and becomes perfect with digital flight control technology. Simultaneously, the automatic test system for digital flight control system has become more and more important. The portable automatic test system is a special system used to test UAV flight control system automatically, and the automatic test computer based on CAN bus network is the core unit of the system, which may facilitate the expansion and the promotion with its distributed architecture. As the core part of the automatic test computer, the center processor unit designed by this paper can undertake the management of the entire test process and complete the data analysis and processing.Firstly, according to the design objective of the center processor unit, the general design of the hardware and software is presented. The center processor unit adopts the dual CPU (Central Processing Unit) scheme composed of DSP (Digital Signal Processor) and MCU (Micro Controller Unit), and the communication between DSP and MCU is realized through dual-port RAM (Random Access Memory).Secondly, an in-system programmable technique via the serial port is designed for outer-chip Flash memory of DSP, which solves the issue of maintenance and updating for software of application systems based on DSP.Thirdly, the higher layer protocol for CAN bus is designed, with emphasis on a data transmission scheme based on time-triggered schedule, which also utilized the bit arbitration of CAN bus adequately.Fourthly, a communication method for dual-port RAM is designed. And then the hardware and software design of the center processor unit is developed in detail. At last, the experiments on the in-system programmable technique, the CAN bus communication, the dual-port RAM communication and the real-time HIL (Hardware-In-Loop) simulation function are done. The results show the validity, the feasibility and the practicability of the system scheme.
