Dual clutch transmission(DCT) is a new power of automatic transmission, itssuperior shift performance attracts the attention of various auto enterprises. Thedevelopment of double clutch transmission at home and abroad has just began, andnow doing research in the dual clutch transmission technology is good for our countryto catch up with the world advanced level.Double clutch system is an important part of DCT, its performance directly affectsthe power tansmission capacity and shift quality of DCT. At the same time, the rise ofthe dual clutch system friction plate’s temperature will change its friction performancegreatly, then affect the power delivery performance of the dual clutch system. In orderto ensure the double clutch system’s good work performance, based on the nationalhigh technology research and development plan (“863”plan)“Passenger cars doubleclutch transmission platform product development”, this dissertation compares the dryand wet dual clutch system’s applicability, advantages and disadvantages. According tothe vehicle matched, select the types of dual clutch, analyze the structure andprinciples of dry dual clutch system. Then design dry dual clutch system, caculate theheat generated by sliding friction when the dry dual clutch system is shifting. After that,build the temperature field mode of dry dual clutch friction pair in the grinding process,and determine the model’s load, initial conditions and boundary conditions. Finallysimulate its temperature field, analyze temperature distribution of the friction pair parts,verify the cooling performance of the dry dual clutch system designed. Besides analyzethe cooling characteristic of the friction plate with different radial groove, optimize thefriction plate’s cooling performance.This dissertation provides some theoretical basis for the domestic development ofdry dual clutch system design, and also provides certain reference to achieve theindependent research and innovation of the dry dual clutch system.
