Large scope blackouts around the world in recent years draw people's special attentions on the stability of power grid. Nowadays, as the existing grid's ability to resist risk is very poor, some Power Research Institutes and reputable companies have already begun their research on the new generation power grid and gave their description of its promising future. Chinese electrical expert give an new idea of 'digital power grid' which with the characteristic of intelligence. And this characteristic can help to enhance the stability lever of the whole grid. The research on digital power grid has already begun in China recent years. The realization of digital power grid relies on upgrading the existing grid like introducing intelligent appliances, enhancing the capability of information access, optimizing analysis of data, offering helpful decision-making suggestion etc.In this paper, after summarizing the characteristic and implementation architectures of the digital power grid, it then mainly focuses on characteristic and every part of realization of integration of power grid information. The realization of digital power grid is base on the existing power grid, as a result, we should first integrate the information of different kind of structures in existing power system software and then build common information structure platform to share this integrated information, and finally achieve the integration of the whole power grid.This paper works on several issues on information integration which is also the most important as well as basic ones, such as, the information integration strategies for digital power grid, the differences between UML and CIM/RDF in expressing information model as well as their conversion, information model storage and model mapping between the primary and new, the implementation of CIS standard interface based on meta data management system, design and realization of management process in software development.A real case is studied at the end of the paper, which is an information integration project on power grid dispatching data for a provincial power company. In this real case, a uniform dispatching data management platform is established, which has a common model center for all software system. It uses the dispatching data, standard interface and other information release ways and web platform for management.
