Urban transit corridor is the main carrier for the demand of urban transit trips. With the increase of urban transit network density, the overlap rate of bus lines and the number of buses have been keeping increasing in the transit corridor. This is not only exerting influence on the travel of transit and social vehicles, but also causing high pressure on the server quality improvement of bus stations. How to dispatch the bus travel reasonably and realize the equilibrium assignment of the traffic resource and passenger flow in the corridor, the key point of improving the transit service, is an important research subject. Aiming to solve the problems mentioned above, this paper proposes a method approaching to the coordination optimal dispatching of bus lines in the transit corridor.This paper recognizes the urban transit corridor, and purposes the method of identification and definition of transit corridor. The transit facilities and the transit passenger flow distribution in transit corridor are analyzed. In aspect of routes and stations passenger distribution, the transit demand distribution is analyzed.Dispatching mode and performance analysis are the basis of this research. The former can provide the reasonable mode selection; the latter can reveal the factors and its relationship, which can affect the quality of dispatching performance.The core of this paper is to create a method of coordination optimal dispatching of bus lines on the base of integrated transit operational data collection. At first, according to the relationship between bus lines and transit corridor, determine the lines to be coordination dispatching by using the information fusion theory. And determine the corridor passenger flow time distribution state by using the time segment distribution optimization. And then, fine the optimal schedule of each line and propose the coordination scheduling schemes on the basis of these results. Finally, the best scheme can be determine by the calculation of coordination optimal dispatching model.This paper takes transit corridor in Chengdu to be a case study. The conditions of transit corridor, bus routes and bus operation in corridor are analyzed by using of former method. A case trial calculation shows that an optimal scheme can be got by applying the method of coordination optimal dispatching of bus lines. So the feasibility of this model is proved.
