Air-compressor is a general machinery used to produce and transport compressed air, widely used in industry, agriculture, transportation and national defense. Performance testing is the main way to obtain the performance data of air-compressor.This paper is a research on automatic test system for performance of air-compressor. The computer is the core of this system, and high precise convertor, sensor and data acquisition card are also adopted in it. The software of this system is developed by Visual Basic. According to the test rule of air-compressor, the system can gain parameters accurately, including pressure, temperature, flux, speed and axis power. The system is to calculate the conditions provided for the performance of macro-parameters, reflect the air-compressor's indicators of technology. The system is also to calculate the indication parameters, reflect micro indicators in air-compressor. It can draw indication chart. It is possible to analyze the details of work process of air-compressor according to the indication chart. This system sets up database for parameters to consult test results conveniently at any moment. It can print test reports and indication charts too. In addition, anti-interference hardware and anti-interference software technologies are applied in this system.Finally, this system is used in WS-04/6 type of air-compressor test in Oriental Machinery Co., Ltd of Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, and passed through the test by Zhejiang Institute of quality and technical supervision detection. This system is demonstrated to be accurate and practical for the test, and is to achieve the desired results.
