The rocker arm on the jacket launch barge is a transition installation equipped at the stern. When the jacket is plunged into the water, the roker arm sustains some kinds of force. Usually the recover of roker arm is achieved by outside force and manual work, which doesn't only increase cost but also risk. This paper analysis the condition on which the rocker arm can go back by itself, though studing the rocker arm and barge's movemeng track.This paper first describes the character of outside force and the movement progress of the system consisted of by rocker arm and barge. Then an equation is founded and solved by numerical method.A 30000 ton jacket launch barge is taken for an example to compute its movement track from deviating the hull to it stillness. A matlab program is worked out to get the theory data which is comparaed with the experimentation. By changing the primary condition, we can find out some factors have influence on the rocker arm.This paper puts forward a theory on the project problem. In practice, by adjusting the condition of of the jacket when it's immerging and the rocker arm's gravity location, that the rocker arm goes back itself can come ture.
